HealthShare Exchange (HSX) needs a healthcare marketing consulting agency to help communicate its strategic value to the region, showcase and expand its partnerships across the state and nationally, and promote its strategic vision for the future.

Customer

  • Health information exchange (HIE) gathers and makes electronic patient health information available securely at the point of care throughout the Greater Philadelphia region’s healthcare ecosystem.
  • Delivers real-time clinical information for more than 17 million patients to its tri-state network of healthcare organizations.

Opportunity

  • The HSX leadership wanted to build greater awareness of their organization’s value to the greater Philadelphia healthcare community and lay the foundation for partnerships on a statewide and national level. 
  • The leadership team needed strategic communications guidance and tactical execution from a healthcare pr and social media agency – they needed a team that could operate as their virtual marketing office.
  • They sought a communications team that could serve multiple functions – content development, website management, organic social media, creative design, video production and digital marketing.

Solution

  • W2 Communications’ Content, Digital and Creative teams collaborated to deliver an integrated marketing program that engaged HealthShare Exchange’s membership and community. 
  • Our team has served as a strategic resource for HealthShare Exchange’s leadership team, guiding them through a corporate re-branding exercise, development and publication of a strategic plan and annual report, as well as other initiatives.
  • As the company began to shift strategically, W2 Communications helped identify ways to articulate the company’s value and coordinated in-person video interviews with key customers and partners to provide testimonials.
  • The W2 Communications team also developed, managed and executed a content, events and social media calendar to ensure that the HIE’s marketing and external communications program continued smoothly with minimal oversight from the HealthShare Exchange leadership team.

  • Developed and launched the new branding for the company to showcase its new direction
  • Oversaw the migration of HealthShare Exchange’s website to a new platform and a complete website redesign to modernize the site and improve performance
  • Launched the company’s ongoing webinar series, HSX University, to engage members on a variety of relevant topics. We oversaw the development of the initial programming, provided guidance and best practices to the participants, and supported the promotion of these events.
