With the National Security Agency nearby in Ft. Meade, greater Baltimore is emerging as a magnet for tech entrepreneurial activity. To advance these efforts, the University of Maryland, Baltimore County has launched the Cyber Incubator@bwtech.
The incubator provides business and technical resources for early-stage companies working on cybersecurity-related products and services.
In this “TechConnections: Five Minutes With …” installment, Ellen Hemmerly discusses the impact the Cyber Incubator is making upon local businesses and the greater technology community. Among the many initiatives: The Northrop Grumman Cync Program, a partnership through which Northrop Grumman offers a “scholarship program” for companies with promising cybersecurity proposals.
