Susan has spent the last decade executing all aspects of communications, program management, branding and media strategy at multiple organizations for a wide range of clients, such as Hewlett Packard, Qualcomm and others. Her background in the technology sector spans more than 20 years, with early positions in network security and later in program management at AOL. There, she managed product and marketing relationships for internal and external partners, including Google, Moviefone, InStyle and Sports Illustrated. In her role as a director of external communications for a Washington, DC trade association, Susan spearheaded development and production of in-house publications and grass roots materials, and produced a bipartisan annual conference.
Prior to joining W2 Communications, Susan worked in-house as the public relations manager for cybersecurity company Mandiant, assisting in the release of the company’s seminal APT1 report; and most recently at Forcepoint, executing complex cybersecurity initiatives for the Americas, EMEA and Federal sectors.
Susan graduated with a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts from Virginia Tech, with minors in communications, sociology and English. When not obsessively following news, Susan can most likely be found hiking, taking in live music or searching for the perfect nachos.
